Sausage Egg & Cheese Stuffed Biscuits split open stacked

I have to admit, you need these Sausage Egg & Cheese Stuffed Biscuits in your life! Flaky biscuits stuffed with all of your favorite breakfast items!!! Yes, amazing and perfect to change up your normal boring breakfast routine.

I had cooked up some breakfast sausage and didn’t know what to make with them, so created these Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Stuffed Biscuits! They are perfect for a grab and go breakfast, brunch, or Christmas breakfast!!

These stuffed biscuits make a great meal prep idea, too. I wrapped them individually and threw them in the freezer so we can grab one on the way to work in the morning. Easy as usual and they just require a few ingredients!

What you need for these Sausage Egg & Cheese Stuffed Biscuits:

  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Cheese
  • Can of Refrigerated Biscuits
  • Sausage (or breakfast meat of choice)
  • Butter and garlic for brushing on top (optional)

I always keep some refrigerated biscuits on hand for easy meals like my Turkey Taco Bubble Bake or my Steak & Egg Breakfast Calzones for when we have leftover steak. They make for quick, tasty meals when I run out of ideas.

How to make breakfast stuffed biscuits

First make scrambled eggs the way you like them. I used 3-4 eggs with a splash of milk, and pepper. Chop up cooked breakfast sausage (or can use precooked sausage, ground breakfast sausage, ham, or bacon). Toss that into your scrambled eggs.

Then split the biscuits in half so that there are 16 pieces. You want to stretch the dough a bit. Then spoon your scrambled egg mixture over one half of the biscuit, top with cheese, and place the other half of the biscuit and seal (using water and your fingers). Repeat until you have eight stuffed biscuits.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes ubtill the biscuits are golden brown. Then I melted some butter and minced fresh garlic to brush on top. I would have used garlic powder but didn’t have any so that would work just fine.

Serve hot and enjoy!!

Can you freeze these breakfast stuffed biscuits?

If you want to freeze them, I wrapped individually in plastic wrap and then into a freezer bag. That way we grab and pop in microwave or Air Fryer to reheat. Mike took them to work and reheated for lunch.

These flaky biscuits are stuffed with all of your favorite breakfast items in one easy hand held biscuit!

Ingredients
  

  • 3-4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded cheese divided
  • pepper
  • 8 sausage links cooked and choppped (or other breakfast meat)
  • 1 16 oz can of refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 clove garlic minced (or garlic powder)

Instructions
 

  • In a saute pan/skillet over medium heat cook the breakfast sausage.
  • Remove sausage to a paper towel (then chop). Use the same pan to make scrambled eggs with eggs, milk,1/4 cup cheese, and pepper. Cook until desired doneness. add the chopped sausage to scrambled eggs.
  • Open can of refrigerated biscuits and spilt each biscuit in half (they usually pull apart very easily) So that you have 16 pieces.
  • Stretch the dough a little and place 8 dough circiles onto baking sheet.
  • Spoon scrambled egg and sausage mixture on to all 8 biscuit rounds and top with shredded cheese.
  • Then place the other half of dough on top. Seal the edges together using water on your fingers.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
  • After removed from the oven, melt 1 tbsp of butter and mince some garlic. Brush over top of stuffed biscuits. (or garlic powder)
  • Serve hot and enjoy! Or wrap individually , refrigerate or freeze.
