Ingredients Needed for these Irish Cream Oreo Truffles

| 🍀Chocolate Sandwich Cookies– Oreos or store brand works just fine. I usually grab the cheaper ones and yes Double Stuffed works-too. 🍀Cream Cheese– Full fat and either room temperature or softened. 🍀Irish Cream Liqueur- If you have Bailey’s use that, or whatever your favorite brand is. 🍀Vanilla Almond Bark/Candy Coating– I have the best luck with this kind of chocolate you can use white chocolate melts, too. 🍀Green, Gold, or Irish Themed Sprinkles– optional but why not toss some color in these bad boys! I like the sanding sugars best. |

How to make these Irish Cream Liqueur Oreo Balls
Step 1: Crush Oreos. Using a food processor, (I use my Ninja Storm) grind up the Oreo cookies (or similar) until fine crumbs.
Step 2: Mix ingredients. Then in a mixer combine room temperature cream cheese, the cookie crumbs, and the Irish Cream Liqueur. Mix well. For best results- toss the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes or longer for easies handling- or the freezer for a few).
Step 3: Form into balls. Then form into 2 inch balls. This mixture is a little more wet than normal Oreo balls. I found that wetting my hands every few helped form them.

Step 4: Dip in coating. Then dip each ball into melted candy coating and sprinkle with green sprinkles or gold (or whatever color for whatever holiday). Just dip a few at a time and add sprinkles since the candy coating hardens quickly. Then refrigerate until completely set and then transfer to air tight containers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you freeze Irish Cream Oreo Truffles?
Yes! Irish Cream Oreo truffles freeze very well. Place them in an airtight container and freeze for up to 2 months. Let them thaw in the refrigerator before serving. This makes them perfect for prepping ahead of St. Patrick’s Day parties.
How long do Irish Cream Oreo Truffles last?
Store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. They contain cream cheese and Irish cream, so they should be kept chilled until ready to serve.
Can I make Irish Cream Oreo Truffles without alcohol?
Absolutely. You can substitute the Irish cream with some Irish Cream flavored coffee creamer! The texture will stay creamy while keeping the dessert kid-friendly.
Can I use Baileys in Oreo truffles?
Yes! Baileys is a popular choice for making Irish Cream Oreo Truffles. It adds a rich, smooth flavor that pairs perfectly with chocolate and cream cheese. I have also purchased Aldi’s brand and it tastes great.

Irish Cream Oreo Truffles
Ingredients
Method
- Using a food processor or blender, grind cookies until fine consistency.
- In a stand mixer, combine the cookie crumbs, cream cheese, and Irish Cream Liquor. I find that 1/4 cup is the perfect amount. NOTE: I have made with 1/2 cup and they are a little harder to work with/stronger in taste).
- Beat until soft dough forms. For easier handling, place the bowl of dough into the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes (or the freezer for a few minutes).
- Form dough into balls and place on wax or parchment paper.
- In a double boiler or microwave melt the almond bark according to instructions. Since you are only using half a package- keep an eye to not burn it.
- Using two forks, dip the chocolate balls into melted almond bark. Dip a few at a time.
- Decorate with sprinkles, and continue until all are coated. (see notes on the last few).
- Place in refrigerator until chocolate is completely firm. Then transfer to air tight container.
- Serve when ready or store in airtight container in refrigerator.
