What I love about these Celebration Sprinkle Surprise Cupcakes
- Easy to make with boxed cake mix
- Fun and festive for Spring holidays or birthday parties.
- Fun to make with the kids
- Delicious of course
- Customizable
I just used our favorite yellow cake mix but you could use white cake mix, strawberry, or even lemon! Whatever you are feeling like. So if you want them to be Easter cupcakes you could use more pastel colors/sprinkles. If you want to have them be birthday cupcakes you can customize to the colors/theme! Have fun with it! These would even be fun for a gender reveal idea, etc!
What you need to make these Cupcakes with Sprinkles
- Your favorite boxed cake mix
- Sprinkles of choice
- Piping Bag or Zip-lock Bag
- Canned Frosting or Homemade
- Cupcake Liners
How to make these fun Celebration Sprinkle Cupcakes
First prepare the cake mix according to the box. I always add an extra egg and a package of pudding to the mix as well to keep it tasting more homemade and moist. Then fill your cupcake lined pan. Bake according to the box. Let cool.
For the Surprise Center
Then I used my piping tip but they make cupcake corers or you could even use a apple corer or a small circle cutter or just use a knife to cut a small circle. Then add in your sprinkles of choice.
For the Cream Cheese Frosting
I love adding cream cheese to frosting for my cupcakes. It cuts that ultra sweet taste. You can either make your own from scratch or just add a half of package to your canned frosting until it taste great to your liking. Then add to a piping bag with a tip or just a Ziplock bag with a corner cut off add add frosting on top. Then add some more sprinkles!
