How to make baked beans in the slow cooker

If you are looking for a side dish to bring to all of your Summer gatherings or barbecues, these Slow Cooker Zesty Baked Beans are the perfect accompaniment . I made them for Easter to go with our smoked ham and they were a hit!

My mom has always made a version of these baked beans and they are famous within the family. Of course she couldn’t find the recipe so I just tossed a few things together that I could remember her adding. You can cook these in the oven too but just make sure they cook low and slow for max flavor!

What you need for these Slow Cooker Zesty Baked Beans

  • Canned Beans (I prefer Bush’s- have tried it with store brand and weren’t as good)
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • Sriracha Sauce
  • Pork Sausage

Yes, that is it. This slow cooker baked beans recipe will be your new go-to. I promise.

These Slow Cooker Zesty Baked Beans will be your go to for Christmas, Easter, and for BBQ season! These make a big batch (probably feed about 10 people as a side). So if it is a smaller gathering, just cut everything in half!

How to Make these Zesty Baked Beans in your Slow Cooker

Start by browning the pork sausage over medium heat on the stove. Then add the drained cooked sausage to the slow cooker. Add the ketchup, mustard, and sriracha.

Then add the cans of beans and give it all a stir. Cover and cook low for about 3 hours or high 1.5 hours!!

Serve hot and Enjoy 🙂
